Our Story
Royale Mikri was born from a simple observation: traditional banks weren't serving everyday Ghanaians. Market women, farmers, and small business owners – the backbone of our economy – were being left behind.
In 2012, a group of Ghanaian bankers and community leaders came together in Kumasi with a radical idea: create a microfinance institution that truly understands and respects its clients. An institution that speaks Twi, that comes to your doorstep, that treats you with dignity regardless of how much you save or borrow.
Today, we have 8 branches across Ashanti Region, over 120 agents, and serve more than 50,000 clients. But our mission hasn't changed: to provide microfinance with a human touch, in Twi and English, with respect for every person.
